    It's Nice

Perfect for a good night sleep indoors. I use this for an extra bed at my house and have had it for over a year now! I use it a good bit, and it is still comfy, however it is not very wide so keep this in mind. It has a pad that comes with it, it doesn't make that big of a difference, but it is a nice difference. If you are looking for a good, reliably built fold up temporary bed, then This is a good buy!

Great cot for over night guests

I bought this today for a guest that will be comming in about a week. I got it home, set it up (easy) I then added a few things of my own to make it better. The mattress does move around a bit so I go some bungie cords and put that around the top and bottome of the mattress. Worked like a charm. It was very comfortable, but I had an old egg crate foam that you put over a bed mattress and I cut it to size and put that on top of their mattress and under the bungie cord. OMG I would sleep on that every night if I had to. Nothing slides around and I can put a nice sheet on it when my company comes. I think they will be very comfortable. I am not a tiny person and it does not feel like it is going to colapse. I am sure I will use it a lot. Did not give it 5 stars because I just got it.

    Just what I needed!

I needed an extra bed for when my grandkids sleep over, but one I could put out of sight when they're not here. I had tried inflatable mattresses but they didn't last long with active little boys. This is the perfect answer. The mattress is quite comfortable on the spring supported frame and easy cleanup if the little one has an accident in the night. It folds up and slips into my closet, taking up very little room. It weighs very little, yet is quite sturdy. The price is quite reasonable too.

    Great cot for the money!

I bought 2 of these cots for tent camping with my husband. We like them very much so far. We have now used them for 3 weekend trips. Yes, the cots are somewhat heavy, but really, do you want something light and flimsy for your money? I surely don't! You're obviously not taking these cots backpacking. They fold flat and fit nicely in the backseat of my midsized car. I then have space to pile lots of other camping stuff on top. The materials are sturdy enough to suport the weight of even a full figured gal like me. There is a weight limit so beware if you are above it. The mattress does slide around just a little bit during the night, but not too bad. There is that soft meshy material that prevents things from slipping. Only costs about $1 per sheet. ( Hint: $ store!) I may get some and try it out. That's probably the only negative thing I could say about the cot. The mattress is OK, it is not your plush pillow top you sleep on at home so don't expect miracles! I am a restless sleeper and I did OK with them. There are no major creaking noises when you move around. I never got the feeling that it might flip over as one reviewer stated. Notice that there are no sharp edged "feet" on the cot. There are 3 smooth bars with rounded edges. It wont damage the floor of your tent if you camp on a soft grounded area like we do. Please be sure that the cot will fit your tent! When you store the cots they stand upright and can fit in the back of a closet. I would definitely recommend these cots!

I have not used my cot yet, but have tested it out to be sure that I will like it for when we go camping next month. It is very comfortable and easy to set up. The Velcro that holds it together might need to be replaced, but that might be because so many people have tested at the store. The description says that it will fit someone up to 6'2", I am 5'4" and can't imagine anyone much taller then me being comfortable because my height seems to be the max for this cot. Can't wait to try it camping!

    I LOVE this cot

I bought this cot to sleep inbetween a couple of queen beds in a hotel room. I have slept on it about 10 times now, and it is shockingly comfy. I can sleep just about anywhere, so I wasn't expecting much, just something a bit softer than the floor. But in actuallity, I was almost as comfortable as a bed. Their are a couple of minor downsides. The mat shell is a material that things can slip and slide on, so you may want to put a sheet down so your pillow or sleeping bag don't slide around on you. Also, if you are the type of person that must stretch out, keep in mind this bed is quite narrow. But in regards to texture and firmness, if you can get past those two issues, I believe you will be very happy, as I am.

I bought this for my 70 year old mom to use when camping because I like the one I have so much. The matress that comes with it is fine for young people but I'm going to add a memory foam mattress for added comfort. The spring tension keeps them from sagging as much as some other models.

I bought it for small guest. Used it for indoor. It's fine if you don't move at all while sleeping. Slight movement to side, it tilted, and almost fell. I tried, and same thing happened. Form bed is made of cheap plastic that made me feel dizzy. I returned it. Will spend extra money for better cot.

I got this cot for my kids to use when they have friends sleep over as an extra bed. It's super comfortable and they all fight over who gets the cot. Great price. Not sure how it will hold up for camping. It's not very compact, but it suits our needs perfectly.

I used this at the Reggae on the River 30th anniversary celebration. I had a full nights rest on this even though there was loud music playing till the wee hours of the night. I felt refreshed each time I used it during these conditions, which I found amazing! NO worries about an air mattress going flat or feeling the cold earth on my body from only having a pad, which was not as comfortable, and used to keep me awake tossing and turning. Now that I know how nice having this cot is? I am now wishing I had gotten one of these years ago. For it would have made my camping experiences superior to what they have been. I am overjoyed that I bought it.

I needed an extra sleeping bed for my grandson. I didn't want him to sleep on the floor so I ordered this. It was easy to set up straight from the box. It comes with a mattress but I also had a foam piece that I added to the bed. It was perfect and very comfortable. I would recommend this to anyone who needs an additional sleeping spot. It will also be easy to store as it folds up and can be put anywhere.
    Highly recommend.

Seeing as this is from Coleman, which we've used for years and never had a problem I knew this was a good choice. I've never seen a single thing break from Coleman, so this is a cot you will have for a long time. The only downside is that I'm a bit tall for it. I would highly recommend this cot for a few reasons. It comes with a bedding pad, and there are springs on the outside (like a trampoline) so it will at least be somewhat comfortable. This would be a buy that you shouldn't be disappointed with.

This is a good cot and quite comfortable. My son (whom I bought it for) really likes it. It will not be good for camping if you have to carry it very far as it weighs 18 lbs. and only folds in half, making it a bit clumsy. If you can park near your campsite it will be GREAT! Older people with back pain will love it for camping.

    Great camping cots

Purchased two of these cots for our boys, loved them so much we purchased two more. For my husband and I we pushed them together, put a double size egg crate and mattress pad on top and it was the best night's sleep of camping I"ve ever had. These are not backpacking cots but if you are looking for comfort for the price you can't go wrong. Would probably be a little too narrow for larger adults. My boys loved that they didn't have to worry about waking up to a flat air mattress, and I love having the extra room under the cots in the tent. Home Depot beats the price by $20 of the only other retailer I found that sells this cot.

The price at Home Depot beat the price of every other store including online stores. The shipping was very fast. I bought the cot for camping (it is the only way I could get my wife to go with me) and I've never been so comfortable in the great outdoors. It also gives us additional beds when guests arrive. It is a tad heavy, but it is for car camping so no big deal.

My biggest complaint so far is one of the springs that connect the fabric to the frame popped off. I was able to get it back on, but it wasn't easy! We have yet to actually use these, we are waiting for our fall camping trip! But so far I am pleased with the construction of these cots. Definitely worth the $$$, if you want bigger and better, then you have to pay for it. However, at Walmart the exact same cot was $20 more!Read Less

We are happy with these. We bought two for our condo where we stay one night a week until we can move our furniture down permanently. We have them next to each other so it feels like a full size bed. My husband weighs 158 and I weigh 104. They are very comfortable. My only problem is keeping the sheets tucked under because the mattress is not heavy. We had to return 2 air mattresses to store due to leaks that were unrepairable and I remembered that when I was growing up, when I had company overnight, my guest would sleep on something similar to this camp cot. This was a great buy and I would highly recommend.

We own three of these and the last two we purchased online through Home Depot. Like all the other reviews, it's a good cot, but... I'm missing a spring. I called Coleman and they do not offer any replacement parts for their cots. I'm so tired of manufacturers doing this. Need a part? Sorry. Throw it away. I won't purchase another Coleman cot because of this.

This cot is a great value considering the price is $20 less than most other places. Very comfortable to sleep on. My only suggestion would be to make it a bit higher from the floor and more collapsible or compact. You can spend more on some that have all the bell's and whistles, but they don't sleep any better.

I have tried many different cots and folding beds but this one is the most comfortable and easiest to set up and fold away. This is the best price around at the time of this review (2014). They do take up a little ore space though. This is by far my favorite style of cot and at the best price!Read Less

This cot is great but I wish it were bigger. My son wants me to get the next step up. The cushion is like most cot cushions and not super thick or absorbent. I guess with the cotton shortage (smile) or inflation this is all they can do. Overall it is a great cot and meets the immediate need for an extra sleeping place at a good or great price. i searched the web and home depot had the best price. I cant imagine paying more since it is not the highest quality.

Got for $40 at HD. Couldn't find it for under $60 anywhere else! Who knew HD sold camping stuff - I sure didn't. Anyway the cots are of good construction and are easy to open and close and are comfortable. I'm 5'9", ~185# and I fit comfortably (not sprawled out). Sure beats blowing up a mattress. Definitely not for backpacking but great for car camping with the benefit of being able to store stuff underneath- a big benefit when room is limited.

JUST TAKE OUT OF BOX AND OPEN UP. EASY. HAVENT TRIED YET BUT DID LAY DOWN ON IT FOR A FEW MINUTES SEEMS ALOT MORE COMFORTABLE THAN AN AIR MATTRESS. IT NEEDS TO BE JUST A TAD WIDER FOR PEOPLE WITH MORE WIDTH TO THEIR BODIES. BUT IT SEEMS WELL MADE. THEY REALLY DIDNT COST MUCH MORE THAN A GOOD AIR MATTRESS. WOULD BUY AGAIN

I have one of the RIDGELINE 2 cots, needed one more so when I went shopping all I could find was the RIDGELINE 3. It is narrower than the 2 by a few inches and those inches DO matter it was a little too narrow for an adult. The quality is there and the price is better than anywhere else. I buy the foam mattress pads to lay over the cot pad and it really makes a difference along with the fact the cot has springs to attach the canvas to the frame.

Well and fully constructed for light use situations. Heavy use would probably cause the many parts to be a problem - too many to fail.Large, well supported size.

The cot arrived fully assembled. It was very easy to set up, and surprisingly comfortable. When it came time to fold it up for storage, again the process was very user-friendly, taking less than a minute. I enjoyed a good night's sleep thanks to the comfort and support that this cot affords.

We purchased these cots as "over flow" beds for our family cabin. They ended up being more comfortable and more coveted than the cabin's real beds! We plan to use them for sleepovers too. They are very easy to set up, fold up, and store.

We ordered these, blindly, to use at Coachella Music Festival! They turned out to be a HUGE part in making our camping experience comfortable! The cots are easily packed up and set-up. They are sturdy and comfy. We ended up needing to take the mattress off to lend to someone with out sleeping pads - comfy without mattress. And what a DEAL! So for the purchase of 2 cots, we slept 4 people comfortably.

    Decent cot for car camping

    4 out of 5, reviewed on 10.15.2013

Ordered online and picked up in the store - It is the same cot that is available from Walmart but for less money. The cot includes a thin pad which enabled a decent nights sleep. Not terribly wide or long, but supports 250+ lbs. I mention it is ok for car camping (cub scout term) as the cot is not light weight, but with plenty of metal it is sturdy. The springs that hold the fabric in place do not flex much, but again enough for decent sleep. The thin pad is just that - not a mattress in any sense just lightweight foam.

    Great camp cot!

    5 out of 5, reviewed on 04.23.2013

    5

This cot is perfect for camping. It is lightweight, sturdy and has rounded legs, so no ripping the tent floor, and folds flat enough to store in a car roof carrier. The springs along all sides make it pretty comfortable. The only suggestion I have is that the pad should be a little more substantial, which would make it even more comfy. I recommend this for all except large-size heavy people, since it is a little narrow. More width, though would make it heavier and unwieldy.

    • MtnMama43

Hi, yes, it comes with a mattress and folds up. I store ours under a bed.

    • fixitgrannie

      yes

    • Bronxcamper

it comes with a soft 2inch mattress....i places a conforter on it to make it more fuller.

    • lebensiekind

Yes, It is comfortable with a foam mattress and folds with the legs flattened then In half.

    • MountainMama2

Cot does come with a mattress pad, thats covered in a vinyl cover for easy cleaning, just wipe it down. Also, yes folds very easy ... Legs simply fold in and it fold in half. 10 second fold up

    • ladybug987654321

Yes, it does come with a mattress about 2 inches thick. It folds very easily for storage.

    • actad

Yes to both. To fold - flip the cot upside down, then slide the mattress between the underside of the cot and the legs. Next, fold in the outer legs - the middle leg does not fold. Then fold over either end. There is a velcro strap to hold the cot together.

is there a metal bar across the middle that you would feel? while sleeping
    Asked on 06.04.2013

    • TennTuxedo

No, you don't feel any metal support as it is a bottom metal footer that folds down when the bed is set up. Totally comfortable supported by the strong springs that hold the heavy canvas in place.

    • MountainMama2

Nope, that's the nice thing about this bed. Its like a trampoline type of material with springs all the way around ... Very nice .. Reminds me of a trampoline, the material is just stretched tight so its not really bouncy. Would def recommend ... Very NICE

    • ElizabethAnn08

There is 3 fold out bars only on the bottom to support you. they are more like feet to the bed. I am 205 and i can't feel a bar. It is made like a trampoline not like a Futon. So it is very comfy. I move around too much and so my only complaint is that it isn't wide enough.

    • ladybug987654321

You cannot feel the middle bar while laying down or even sitting on the cot. Very comfortable.

    • actad

The middle metal bar is lower than the mattress, so you don't feel it.

    • ChefJohnnie

I didn't feel anything. With the springs surrounding it, it kind of sinks in like a real bed.

  • Dee
Will it hold a twin mattress?
    Asked on 11.16.2012

    • MountainMama2

It would hold a twin foam mattress pad, or memory foam pad, but I would not put a inner-spring mattress on it, no.

    • Grannytype67

I do not think so, not wide enough.

    • MtnMama43

No, I think that would be far too big. It comes with a mattress.

    • Bronxcamper

no, i tried this. The twin mattress is to wide and also the length is to long.
