    Good range, works great!

I purchased this phone set to replace a 5-year-old cordless phone set that ran on the 5GHz frequency. I specifically chose this type of phone because it operates at 1.9 GHz so it wouldn't interfere with my dual band wi-fi and other wireless devices, plus it was advertised to have long range. I also liked the fact that each handset runs on rechargeable AAA batteries, not some expensive to replace proprietary battery. So far, so good on all of that. I have the base set up in the far corner of an upstairs room in my 2 story home. I have no range issues at all and no interference from other wireless devices. The base of the phone is connected to a Vonage VDV21-VD adapter because I use Vonage as my VOIP provider. One thing I really like about this phone is the Vonage caller ID and Vonage voicemail notifications both appear on the display of these phones' handsets. I also really like how each phone can be programmed with a display name. I have assigned each phone a name (ie: bedroom, living room, etc..) and this helps making intercom calls a breeze. People who I have spoken to on this phone have commented to me that I sound more clear than on my old phone, even when using the speakerphone function. I'm very happy with this phone set and would recommend it to anyone.

    Great Phone System

    5 out of 5, reviewed on 01.01.0001

This was a great purchase. Phones are excellent. Didn't need answering system function. Lots of programming options. Great tonal quality on the phones. Like the common phone book and the ability telephones to monitor and check with the telephone system voice mail for waiting mail. Like the way it then goes to the telephone company Voice Mail with one click. Oddly it always engages the speakerphone for the playback. Some people probably would prefer this though. Limited choices with ring tones, expected this, it's not a cell phone after all. Would also like it if the handset volume could go just one notch higher. Overall, really love these phones, nothing really negative to say. Would buy again in a minute or recommend to family or friend.

    Panasonic DECT 6.0+ ROCKS!

    5 out of 5, reviewed on 01.01.0001

I've been using Panasonic DECT 6.0 phones for a while, and enjoy the great clarity and distance they offer. These new 6.0+ phones work both farther and with longer battery life. I prefer to use phones with a headset, and this specific model has a side jack for a 2.5mm headset. When buying cordless phones and you want that jack, you need to verify that the specific model supports it. Not all manufacturers and not all models do.

Another plus of this series is the ability to 4-way conference (three cordless handsets, and someone on the other end of the phone line). Thats the largest I've seen so far. I was considering an AT&T setup, but they were limited to 3-way, regardless of how many handsets you had.

And should the Nickle metal hydride batteries ever wear out, you aren't stuck getting some expensive battery pack either. These handsets take a pair of standard AAA rechargable cells.

    Great phone.

We both need glasses and this phone's display window is so easy to see. The address book was easy to set up. We use almost all of the fifty address book enteries availabe for this phone. The batteries stay charged and are easy to install into the phones. Volume is easy to adjust and is clear to hear.

    So far they're great!

We've only had these less than a month but so far we love them! One nice feature: You only have to enter your address book on one phone & it shows up on all of them. Another one is that you can break your address book into groups so you don't have to scroll through 50 phone numbers every time you want to call someone. Just choose the group, you set them up & name them yourself, (up to 9 different ones, we're only using 4) and scroll through just the numbers you've placed in that group. Or, if you'd rather, you still have the option of scrolling through the 50 numbers (in case you forgot what group the person is in that you're calling!) The reception is better than the last phones we had, and the voice quality is MUCH better when I call home from another location. The last phones we had were v-tech & they had to have the special batteries. These don't! They use regular rechargeable batteries that you can buy anywhere! Overall, based on our experience thus far, yes, I recommend them. (We bought them because Consumer Reports recommended them....)

    Quality Product

After reading the reviews I was a little worried about the complaints that the volume wasnt loud enough and the phone wouldnt hold a charge. I have had the product for about a month now and cant say I see either one of those as an issue. I can see if you have a hearing problem the volume probably wouldnt be loud enough. As for the charge I always make sure it is on the charger over night and have not had any issues. All in all I think this is a great phone for the price. We run a fairly busy home based office and the features on the phone work great for this. The range (reason for purchase) and quality is great too.

Has CALL BLOCK and Distinctive RING built in!

I'm used to buying similar Uniden phones with the additional handsets but when our internet guy came out for internet issues he said that Uniden phones seem to mess with the internet sometimes. I'm not sure I actually believe that but when it came time to buy a new set I stayed away from Uniden. When I got this phone I was amazed to learn singer of the features it offered compared to previous similar products I've owned. For one it has a call block feature. You can block private numbers as well as specific numbers. It does ring once until it comes up on caller ID, then doesn't ring again. Secondly, it has a distinctive ring feature in that you can set up groups to the address book and set different ringers up to them. Like at our house we have 5 people and reach of us have a group with a different ring, so if you hear a ring that isn't associated with you then you don't have to be bothered at stopping what you are doing to deal with it. Like with the call block feature you have to wait for the 2nd ring for the caller ID to kick in to associate it with the proper ring. I especially suggest this phone if you plan to use Straight Talk home phone (which I just switched to and love as well) and still like to have call block

Great phones for Distance and Sound Quality

I have owned the Panasonic phones for one month. I had older model Panasonics previously but had problems losing voice quality in various rooms of our house do to distance. This newer model seems to overcome that problem nicely plus adding some additional features such as remote paging and message review. Very nice, good quality phones I would recommend to a friend.

    Just what I wanted

We are very happy with this cordless phone set. I did a fair amount of research before choosing this one. I was going to get the older model and then I read that the newer model included a more rubberized 'grip' on the back of the phone so you can hold it on your shoulder more easily when you want to talk hands-free. Of course you can do that anyway since it has a speaker. It has all of the features I wanted and so far it appears to work great. For us it was the perfect set.

I have only had this system a few weeks but the voices are very clear and it is really a great deal for 3 phones. I bought this system because it will not interfere with my house wireless. It is easy to figure out the redail, missed calls, etc without even reading the manual in-depth. I would recommend this to someone looking for a good deal for the money. Just remember this system is useful IF you have voicemail with your carrier, otherwise you need a model with an answering machine.

    Great Phones w/o Answering Machine

    5 out of 5, reviewed on 01.01.0001

Purchased these to replace some Uniden pre-DECT 6.0 phones that were starting to get noisy and lose their charge. The sound quality on these is so much better, my whole family has commented how it seems you are talking to someone standing next to you - ultra clear. All the features work as advertised. Dropped a star because it is not as easy to maneuver around the menus and to clear individual caller ID list names takes 4 tedious steps. Voice mail feature works seemlessly - I don't miss the unused answering machine.

I like having the three handsets and no answering machine, since the one I have had for a few years works well for me. I used to have a GE model with two handsets and loved it, but it got to the point of not holding a charge well. The speaker phone on the older GE was more clear and noise free. On this Panasonic model my friends tell me that I sound more clear to them, but I don't hear them as clear as I thought I would. I think I got spoiled with the old GE 5.8 phone. The scroll-down phone directory is wonderful; I never had that before in my GE. On my new phone the volume doesn't go up by more than four bars; I would like it to be able to go up to five or six bars at times.

Overall, I am satisfied with my new Panasonic phones. One feature that is great is that you can program phone numbers into one handset and it automatically programs the numbers into the other handsets.

We received this product within a couple days . . . very impressive! Hooked up the phones in no time and started to use them the next morning. Easy to understand to program and we are in our mid-60s and we don't need glasses to read the information on the LED. We replaced a 7-8 year Panasonic phone which just wore out from use and abuse. Glad we stuck with Panasonic. Oh! I was out at the street taking the trash out to the curb. Had the phone in my pocket and carried on a conversation right there. Nice reception. You'll be glad you bought this set - Walmart: this is the first time i used your mail order service and and have done it again 2 more times - great turn-around!

    These phones are great!

I ordered this set of 3 handsets and they arrived well before the estimated date...thank you Walmart!

I thought of first buying just the 2 handsets, but I read in one review that the extra handset is hard to find...so I went ahead and ordered the 3 - and I'm glad I did!
After charging, the phones were very easy to program - and what is more suprising, I thought I had to program all 3 handsests! But when you program one, it goes for all 3! So I did not have to enter the time, contact lists, etc. again.

The ringer volume is plenty loud and phones are placed one in the bedroom, one in the kitchen and another in the family room. I have not tried taking it outside, but the range is supposed to be pretty good there, too. The display is big so it's easy to see.

The only thing I can't figure out is the time setting...I keep setting it to my current time which is Central Daylight Saving Time, but it always reverts back to the regular Central time which is one hour ahead of the time now. So I when I look at the time, it always makes me think, it is later than what it really is. Anyway, overall this is just a small problem, as the daylight saving time will end soon. I still love these phones!
My old cordless is a Radio Shack phone that I had for 12 years and uses a battery that cost me $17.00 to replace each time.

I would recommend this phone to anyone. My home only has one working phone jack so this really helped out our situation. We even have one in the garage & it has held up through some pretty cold nights. The only complaint I may have is the access to the caller ID is odd. Maybe I'm just not use to it yet, but you have to click a few buttons to get to it. I'd like for it to be easier to get to. Otherwise, definitely like the system.
