    Great Bike

I bought this bike for my son who just turned 5 years old. We took the training wheels off immediately, and away he went! This bike is very stable, and it will be great for him as he grows. All around, great purchase.

Excellent upgrade from 12 inch Huffy

After doing research for a best entry level bike for my 3.5 year old son(Big Kid) I had shortlisted two bikes Viz .Royalbaby from Amazon and this one from Walmart. When my son had a test ride in local Walmart ; I saw him ride it with ease and I decided immediately to go with this model.

Coaster Brake as well as caliper brake

Might be heavy for thin /weak kids
Cheap fenders ;should have been more in length;his jacket gets wet when riding through rain puddles. You can not stop kids right?

Bottom line:At this price point this is one of the best.Test ride and decide if the bike weight matches your kids comfort before you purchase on line.

I purchased this bike for my 5 year old grandson. I wanted him to have a Schwinn just like I did as a child. HE LOVED IT!! Although the directions were somewhat confusing, my husband was able to easily put the bike together. The quality is great, and this bike looks really cool! I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a first bike.

OK bike- if you don't really need pedals!

    3 out of 5, reviewed on 05.04.2015

I bought 2 of these bikes for my twins for their 4th birthday in February. They used them to kind of scoot around for the first couple months (without the training wheels). A couple weeks ago, one of my sons figured out how to pedal all by himself- which was so great, until the pedals completely disintegrated. They just broke apart and fell off- on the FIRST day they were actually used! I thought this might be kind of a quirk, but then I looked at my other son's bike and noticed his pedals were doing the same thing- and he hasn't even used them yet!

Now, I wouldn't say my boys are super gentle with setting their bikes down onto the ground, but they also don't slam them onto the ground every chance they get. Given that my kids have only had their bikes for a couple months, I would expect the pedals to last at least through a season.

I will say that, while we tried another bike, these bikes fit my boys the best- the cross bar on the other one was too high when the seat was adjusted to the lower setting. The bar on this one is lower, and the pedals are a good height so my boys' knees don't come up to their ears when they pedal (when the seat is down lower). Also, this bike weighed a little less than the other bike, so it seems a little easier for my kids to maneuver.

Great looking bike, perfect size & features!

    4 out of 5, reviewed on 01.01.2015

My son loves this bike & we do too! He loves the paint, we love that it was super easy to assemble. It's the perfect size for my 5 year old. The only thing I wish I'd known was the weight of the bike, it is quite heavy for him. I'm sure he'll build up some muscles quickly from all the riding he's doing though. Overall, I gave it for stars for the heaviness. Other than that, it's a great ride!

    Ok for a cheap bike

    2 out of 5, reviewed on 12.28.2014

Item came with two huge holes in box. Not fault of WalMart but more of shipper. Bike easy to assemble but wheels were crooked and tire stems not seated properly. Those items were already assembled so there wasn't much I could do to correct that.

Overall I would only recommend this if someone wants a super cheap kids first bike. Will see how long it lasts! I don't have high hopes at this point.

    great sporty looking boy bike

Item was purchased assembled. It requires a few fine tuning and straightening up the fenders I believe was assembled rather quickly and without care so they're crooked and not correctly installed. Other than that bike is great. The right hand brake works as well as a foot reverse pedal brake. This way.. the child can brake either w foot or by hand until they get used to hand brakes..
